  We have been to The Tea Rooms quite a few times, but I feel the food is not as good as it used to be. The service is always splendid and you can't better the view. High Tea very disappointing this time...a lot of money for the rather tasteless sandwiches and very poor scone. Not much else to even write about on the plate. The previous time ( just a month ago), the toffee sauce on the "sticky date pudding" was burnt. The recovery was very good in that instance as we were not charged for the 2 desserts. It clearly didn't deter us from returning, however the High Tea today might.
  I don't like to make a fuss and the wait staff are so helpful.
